SEG 2010: SUBMISSION OF POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Welcome to the Poster collection site for the Society of Economic Geologists 2010 Conference at the Keystone Resort, Colorado - October 2-5, 2010

GENERAL INFORMATION TOP
There are three required elements to present a poster for the conference:
1. A short, descriptive paragraph
a. Please type or copy/paste your descriptive paragraph into the text box provided.

The poster and abstract will be included on a CD-ROM of Conference Proceedings. The descriptive paragraph will appear in the printed Conference Program. All Conference attendees will receive both the CD-ROM and the Conference Program.

b. Limit this summary to 150 words.

2. An extended abstract
a. A maximum of 1,000 words includes text, references, figure captions, and tables. Two or three figures in jpg or tif format can be embedded in the document.
b. Click here to download the template for the extended abstract.
c. Extended abstracts will be accepted in Microsoft Word Document (*.doc) format only.
d. Detailed information on style and format for extended abstracts can be found here.
3. The Poster
a. Poster board on which the poster will be mounted is approximately 1.2 x 2.4 m (4 x 8 ft), so your physical poster should be no larger.
b. Digital submission in pdf format is also required and file size must be no more than 12 MB.
c. Physical poster can be carried to conference; for digital file deadline, see dates below.

Please embed all fonts and graphics into your PDF.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION TOP
  1. Enter the submission site by using the "Begin Submission" button below.
  2. Once you are logged in, follow the instructions on each page to complete the 4 step process.
  3. To make edits during your submission, use the "Submission Control Panel" on the left side of the screen. Do not use the back button on your browser.
  4. To check the files you uploaded, click the "Confirm" link in the "Submission Control Panel". A summary of everything you entered will show here and links to your uploaded documents.
  5. For technical problems with your submission, please contact Tech Support by using the "Contact Technical Support" link on the Submission Control Panel.

Extended Abstract Guidelines
  • Acceptable file format(s): Word document (*.doc) or DOCX file (*.docx).
Abstract Summary Guidelines
  • Acceptable file format(s): HTML document (*.htm), HTML document (*.html), or plain text document (*.txt).
  • The best way to upload your material is probably to copy it from your word processor or web page and paste it into the upload form. However, if your submission contains pictures you should first save it in web page (HTML) format and then upload that HTML file. If you upload in this way please do not include the title or the author listing, as this information will be generated automatically from what you have already entered.
  • A template file (top.gif) has been created to assist in formatting your Abstract Summary.
